DISTRICT
We are the local public health agency
for Huron County. Our public health professionals work to
promote health and prevent disease for a safer and healthier
community through programs and services that include among
others :
Mission Statement
To achieve and sustain healthy people
and healthy communities throughout Huron county by providing
public health services which promote health and prevent
disease.
Vision Statement
Working in collaboration with our
partnering organizations and communities, Huron County will
become leaders and innovators in achieving an optimal health
status for its citizens. In this quest, the Huron County
General Health District will apply best practices and
demonstrate operational excellence while addressing chronic
disease prevention, environmental safety, behavioral
education, and preparedness.
