The Children and Adult Services Department is responsible for assessing and responding to the needs of children, families, seniors, and adults with disabilities who may be experiencing issues of maltreatment, exploitation, or otherwise at risk or in need in our community. We work in partnership with the community to provide a continuum of services that will reduce risk, provide permanency, and improve the well being of all who receive services.

Huron County Department of Family Services strives to provide programs to strengthen families, protect children, and the elderly. The Family Support Services Department is responsible for assisting individuals and families with a variety of programs that can help meet basic needs. Programs include food assistance, medical assistance and financial assistance. We work in partnership with community resources to provide referrals for individuals and families that may not qualify for assistance or who may need additional services.
